Gulf Air and Lebanese flag carrier, Middle East Airlines, have forged a new codeshare alliance.
This partnership will see Middle East Airlines place its ‘ME’ code on Gulf Air flights on the Beirut-Bahrain-Beirut route.
On the alliance, CEO, Gulf Air, Krešimir Kučko said: “We are glad to sign this codeshare with Middle East Airlines and offer its passengers a direct daily service from Beirut to Bahrain with Gulf Air. Beirut has always been a key route in our Middle Eastern network.”
Meanwhile, chairman-director general, Middle East Airlines, Mohamad El Hout added: “We are pleased with this partnership with Gulf Air, which will enable us to offer to our loyal passengers a new destination – Bahrain – as well as many other destinations in Asia via the Gulf Air network.”
Gulf Air connects Bahrain and Lebanon with daily flights to Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport, with more frequencies during busy seasons, such as the summer period.
