Gulf Air has signed an agreement with APG to benefit from its state-of-the-art interline platform, APG IET, which allows travel agents to issue millions of airline interline combinations on one ticket and with one airline code.
Through APG IET, Gulf Air will become ticketable by thousands of additional travel agents in BSPs (billing and settlement plans) where the airline is not present, and in combination with airlines with whom they do not directly interline. APG IET will facilitate and bring high yield sales from brand new markets and act as a suitable addition to Gulf Air’s global distribution strategy.
On the development, the airline’s CEO, Krešimir Kučko said: “This is an important milestone for Gulf Air to be available in more markets that currently not served by the airline and without offline GSAs. The APG IET solution will enable us to sell more tickets by interlining with many airlines around the world and giving our customers a wide and varied choice to fly to more places.”
President, APG Network, Richard Burgess added: “We are delighted to welcome such a prestigious carrier to our APG IET platform and are looking forward to working closely with Gulf Air to grow their international sales.”
