Enhancing the traveller experience, Gulf Air has shed light on a new mobile application for iOS and Android devices, which grants customers the opportunity to manage their trips, book flights, check-in online, pre-select seats, monitor flight status and purchase Falcon Gold lounge access and excess baggage.
The new app can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play.
Enthusing on the new addition was chief commercial officer, Gulf Air, Vincent Coste: “In this day and age, the importance of technology is at its highest as customers are becoming more and more tech-savvy, and we are happy to cater for their needs with the launch of our mobile app.”
He continued: “We invite our passengers to download the app and interact with its multi functions. We will continue to develop and add more features in the future to provide a smooth and seamless travel experience for everyone.”
The year 2018 has been referred to by the airline as the #YearOfChange, following numerous upgrades and changes to the business, including a new brand, new livery, a new fleet, new uniforms and new destinations, as well as a new strategy.
This year, Gulf Air acquired five Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and one Airbus A320neo aircraft. The Bahraini carrier introduced new routes to six destinations, including Bangalore and Calicut in India, Alexandria and Sharm El Shaikh in Egypt, Casablanca in Morocco and Baku in Azerbaijan.
