Bahrain-based carrier, Gulf Air, officially resumed services to Erbil, Iraq, on February 2, 2020.
In light of this significant update, the airline held a celebratory event, which was attended by chief operations officer, Gulf Air, Capt. Suhail Ismaeel and country manager – Iraq, Gulf Air, Isa Shah, as well as a number of dignitaries, local media, travel industry representatives and airport officials.
On the occasion, Capt. Ismaeel declared: “We’re happy to return to Erbil and operate direct flights to and from this Iraqi city. With three weekly direct flights between Bahrain and Erbil supplemented with great connectivity through our hub, this destination promises to be a key route within our growing network.”
Gulf Air’s services to Erbil will complement its existing Iraqi routes, Baghdad and Najaf.
