Gulf Air touches down in Malaga

Gulf Air has officially launched its new service to Malaga in Spain’s Costa del Sol.

The inaugural flight was welcomed into Malaga Costa del Sol Airport with a water cannon salute, followed by a celebratory event that saw the attendance of various dignitaries, the Costa del Sol Tourism Authority, a number of local media and travel industry representatives, alongside airport officials.

Prior to departing from Bahrain International Airport, passengers were handed commemorative gifts as the airline celebrated the very first flight from the Kingdom of Bahrain to Spain.

CEO, Gulf Air, Krešimir Kučko declared: “This is a remarkable event for us to fly, for the first time, to Spain and especially to Malaga, which is widely popular for being a summer resort for many of our passengers. From today until mid-September, we will fly twice a week to Malaga and provide this great opportunity for everyone to try our newest Dreamliner and our newest premium leisure destination.”

The seasonal flights are operated by Gulf Air’s flagship aircraft Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which features 26 Falcon Gold seats and 256 economy class seats, all equipped with latest comfort technology and inflight entertainment system featuring blockbuster movies and rich content selection.
