Millennium Hotels & Resorts Middle East and Africa has welcomed Haitham Assem onboard as regional associate director of marketing and communications – Middle East and Africa.
In his new position, Assem will oversee the hotel group’s portfolio of 11 brands and 42 operating hotels, in addition to 10 hotels that are due to open in 2019 and 35 hotels in the pipeline across the region.
He has more than 11 years of experience in leading marketing and communication for well known global hospitality brands, including Kempinski Hotels, Global Hotel Alliance, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International and Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Assem will work to drive Millennium Hotels & Resorts’ brand equity and develop marketing and communications strategies to reinforce the positioning of the 11 brands.
