Jordan’s Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa and King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center managed by Hilton launched their new youth training programme on October 4.
Conceived in partnership with Jordan-based non-profit organisation, ETAAM for Training and Development, the programme aims to train a group of young individuals to introduce them to the hospitality industry.
Throughout the programme, 15 candidates from the surrounding communities will be trained at Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa. The hotel recently conducted a comprehensive orientation for trainees to get acquainted with the departments of Housekeeping, F&B and Kitchen, through an educational tour at the facility. The orientation day gave the trainees deeper insight into every department and enabled them to choose the area of specialty they want to join.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of this remarkable program which caters to youth in the surrounding area,” general manager, Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa, Elias J. Moukarzel declared. “We are true believers in the potential of the young generation, and we are confident of the change they can make, if they are given the right opportunities. This programme goes hand in hand with Hilton’s global commitment to open its doors for one million youth by 2019.”
President, ETAAM for Training and Development, Kawther Al Qatarneh also said: “Our partnership with Hilton Dead Sea Resorts & Spa is consistent with our vision and mission to improve social and economic conditions of poor families through sustainable development, by empowering women and youth. We are excited with the wealth of experience, knowledge and professionalism brought by Hilton, to be invested in young people to prepare them in the labour market.”
