Omar Souab has been promoted to the position of hotel manager at the high-end Fairmont Dubai.
Announcing the news was regional vice president – UAE and general manager, Fairmont Dubai, Robert-Jan Woltering: “Since joining Fairmont Dubai, Omar has been an integral part of the senior leadership team. During the third quarter of 2015 he assumed the role of deputy general manager in the absence of the general manager and successfully led the hotel through a challenging period, which leads to this well-deserved promotion.”
In his new position, Souab will carry out the responsibilities of hotel manager, overseeing the overall operation and performance, while also supporting the strategic vision of Fairmont Dubai.
With more than 12 years of hospitality industry experience, throughout his career Souab has held various progressive management roles within leading hospitality companies, including Accor Hotels, a company he worked with for over a decade.
Souab attended Santa Monica College, Los Angeles, the US, where he gained a bachelor in international business. He also attended the Schiller International University, Madrid, Spain, where he majored in marketing and international business before completing his masters in hospitality with the International Hospitality Program, Paris, France with the Accor Program for Elite of the Group.
