Exhibiting at stand TT1755 during ATM 2016, Hotelbeds recently shed light on its success in driving room-night growth into the Middle East.
Although Dubai has registered a three per cent decrease in occupancy year-on-year, Hotelbeds continued to outstrip the market by driving a 41 per cent growth compared to the corresponding period in 2015.
These positive results have additionally been reflected across the UAE, where the company has achieved a 44 per cent room-night growth year-on-year.
These increases are said to be a result of a number of initiatives designed to enhance Hotelbeds’ positioning in the Middle East, and more specifically in Dubai. The winning strategy has been based on the need to deliver the best rates and leading availability backed by strong investment into tech and innovation.
The launch of APItude, Hotelbeds’ API connectivity suite, has been driving the company’s innovation. APItude is a highly advanced hotel distribution API, which is lighter, faster and easier to integrate. APItude forms part of Hotelbeds’ strategy to simplify all touch points of its service delivery in order to drive tangible benefits across the entire travel value chain.
Product director, Hotelbeds, Javier Arévalo remarked: “Hotelbeds has managed to significantly increase its leading position in the UAE, where the bedbank has recorded a 44 per cent year-on-year growth in room-nights into this strategically important region. We are confident that our solid business model and focused local teams that work closely with our partners together with our ongoing investment in technology, innovation and service delivery will ensure a strong pipeline of growth into this top region for many years to come”.
