This December, Gstaad in Switzerland will be embracing the brand new Huus Hotel Gstaad, which stands in an intimate mountain hideaway location 1,111m above sea level in the Bernese Oberland.
Boasting 131 keys, the hotel, a member of Design Hotels, offers warm and welcoming interiors that are outfitted in traditional materials. Rich, organic tones and natural, locally sourced have been used to reflect the surrounding nature.
Huus Hotel, derived from the Swiss-German word for ‘home’, grants a home-away-from-home experience, which defines the aesthetics of the hotel.
Remarking on the property was CEO, Huus Hotel, Günter Weilguni: “At the heart of Huus Hotel is our sentiment ‘come up, slow down’. Guests will find themselves back to serenity, back to an active immersion in nature and firmly rooted in the unparalleled spectacle of the Alpine mountain region.”
Set to be ideal for all seasons, upon opening the hotel will offer restaurants, a spa, a fully-fledged family area, an adventure lounge and a variety of outdoor activities centered around snowy slopes and trails during the winter and biking, hiking and rafting from spring through autumn.
Huus Hotel Gstaad stands between Schönried and Saanen in the Saanenland and is surrounded by Alpine peaks, waterfalls and high moors. Offering great connectivity, Saanen train station is just one kilometre away, while the hotel is 2.8km from the Schönried ski lift and 3.4km from Gstaad.
