Hyatt Hotels Corporation is celebrating the official launch of the very first Hyatt hotel in Algeria: Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport.
Situated at Houari Boumediene Airport in Algiers, the newly launched, 320-key hotel is within arm’s reach of the newest terminal, and is the only property linked to the terminal.
Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport is home to dedicated airline lounges, a Regency Club lounge, a swimming pool and a 2,200m2 lobby. Adding to this, guests can make the most of three modern dining venues, including Palmette Restaurant, The Palmette Bar and Palmette Market; and 949m2 of meetings and event space, including 13 meeting rooms equipped with cutting-edge technology.
General manager, Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport, Pascal Leprou declared: “Algeria is a commercial hub in Africa, and we’re excited to see the Hyatt Regency brand enter the market with the opening of the hotel. With a variety of well-designed work and social spaces, our busy guests can easily stay productive while traveling. We anticipate a strong reception of the property, from both the region, as well as international travellers.”
The property, which is operated under a management agreement with Société d’Investissement Hôtelière EPE SPA, joins Hyatt’s seven properties in Africa, which include Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay and Hyatt Regency Casablanca in Morocco; Park Hyatt Zanzibar and Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam in Tanzania; Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt; Hyatt Regency Johannesburg in South Africa; and the recently opened Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
