Marking a successful participation at ibtm arabia, Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) held numerous meetings with high-profile associations and professional event organisers from the region and beyond, and thus, formulated a number of meaningful business relationships with a host of qualified buyers boasting an average budget of $5.1 million.
With its grand opening just around the corner, OCEC spurred an unprecedented level of interest at the event.
Business development manager, OCEC, Sheikha Al Mugheiry remarked on ibtm arabia: “We were inundated with requests for appointments, and as the maximum possible was 30 we had to work with a very strict set of criteria to choose those which best fit our goals and objectives, prioritising the sectors of transport and logistics, manufacturing and food processing, health, education, technology and telecommunications, agriculture and fisheries, as well as tourism. Fortunately, the regular networking sessions gave us a valuable opportunity to catch up with potential clients and we will be able to confirm a variety of new additions to the OCEC calendar in the very near future.”
Al Mugheiry further noted that event delegates were impressed with OCEC’s facilities as well as its flexibility. Adding to this, significant selling points included the fact that the venue is in its very own purpose-built precinct in close proximity to Muscat International Airport as well as its global accessibility.
In gear for its launch in September this year, OCEC is in the midst of conducting exhaustive tests on a host of elements including the sophisticated lighting and air conditioning systems in the five exhibition halls and ten Hospitality Suites.
