InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Cairo Citystars has introduced a 700-megabyte bandwidth Internet connection for its guests.
The upgrade is anticipated to enhance guests’ experience, namely those who travel with multiple devices.
Bandwidth is set to be distributed systematically to provide InterContinental, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites Cairo Citystars with a high-speed Internet connection that will cover guests’ rooms, outdoor and public spaces, as well as conference areas.
Elaborating on the upgrade was director of technology, IHG Cairo Citystars, Sherif Nader, who stressed that hotels need as much bandwidth as possible, due to the fact that the Internet has become a necessity in hospitality.
“The more bandwidth you have, the more you can do. Guests expect a smooth Internet experience – they want to stream media content, conduct video conference calls, review and post to social media. With the WiFi and Internet experience so influential over guest satisfaction, procuring the maximum speed is equivalent to expecting the maximum satisfaction from our guests. IHG Citystars has always been a pioneer in the field of Guest Technology. We have been leading the market for many years and we will continue to do so.”
