IHG expands Holiday Inn brand portfolio in Poland

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is expanding its portfolio in Poland with the launch of Holiday Inn Warsaw City Centre.

The property, opening under a management agreement with UBM Polska, stands on the border Śródmieście and Wola at the junction of Żelazna, Złota and Twarda Streets, and caters to both leisure and business travellers.

Comprising 250 rooms, the hotel features the new Holiday Inn Open Lobby concept, which was created to transform the traditional hotel lobby format by combining the front desk, restaurant, bar, lounge area and business centre into one open, cohesive space, with a reimagined design to exude a more contemporary feel.

The Open Lobby at Holiday Inn Warsaw City Centre boasts an all-day dining menu and 24/7 coffee shop, providing guests with the flexibility to work in comfort at any time of the day and stay connected with complimentary WiFi.

Meanwhile, the entire first floor if the new hotel is dedicated to the MICE sector, with four fully equipped conference rooms connected to the foyer, which can be adapted depending on the nature of the meeting and the needs of the client.

Also available is a large conference room of 80m2 and three smaller rooms, each spanning 30m2, accommodating up to 130 people.

The property’s general manager, Marek Kaszewski enthused on the opening: “We are looking forward to opening the doors to Holiday Inn Warsaw City Centre and welcoming guests from far and wide. We are in the perfect location for both business and leisure guests with access to surrounding areas such as Warsaw Old Town, which is a bustling tourism hub with historic architecture and medieval buildings.”

IHG currently operates nine hotels in Poland, with a further eight in the development pipeline.
