IHG and RAK Properties continue with Mina Al Arab Island hotel project

InterContinental Mina Al Arab Resort

Following a strong year of growth for Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism sector, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the recommencement of the InterContinental Mina Al Arab Resort in Ras Al Khaimah in partnership with RAK properties.

Scheduled for a 2019 opening, the luxury hotel will be home to 350 rooms and suites, a well-equipped gym, a health club and spa, two pools, various F&B options and a collection of retail outlets.

The property will stand on RAK Properties’ recently announced Mina Al Arab Island development, which aims to introduced a new social hub within the emirate made up of touristic, residential and commercial properties.

Managing director and CEO, RAK Properties, Mohamed Sultan Al Qadi enthused: “The development breathes life into the serenity of the emirate, while keeping true to nature. The Mina Al Arab Island Development will span 811,420m2, and upon completion will be home to a five-star resort, a four-star lifestyle resort, serviced apartments, a shopping mall, a beach and waterfront apartments, villas and townhouses with a private beach clubhouse, as well as al fresco dining and entertainment venues.
