On October 27, 2019, Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways will be introducing daily flights to London Gatwick Airport, to be operated by the airline’s A320neo aircraft.
The carrier has strategically scheduled timings, with flights taking off in the early mornings from Kuwait and landing at lunch time in London, or mid-afternoon on Saturdays.
Thrilled with the news, chairman, Jazeera Airways, Marwan Boodai declared: “What better way to continue our expansion in 2019 than to announce London as a new destination of the year. This is a first for a low-cost carrier in the Middle East to fly long-haul using our new A320neo aircraft. We are very excited to be providing our passengers with one of the most popular destinations from Kuwait and the region and we expect high demand for the route.”
Also commenting was head of airline relations, London Gatwick Airport, Stephen King: “This important new route to Kuwait further strengthens Gatwick’s network of connections to the Middle East. It provides exciting new opportunities for Britain to do business with a country at the forefront of the oil, financial services and technology industries. It’s fantastic news that Jazeera Airways has joined Gatwick’s extensive roster of long-haul airlines and we’re really looking forward to welcoming them to the airport in October.”
Jazeera Airways’ A320neo aircraft boast three-classes: business class, a new premium economy class and economy class.
