Jumeirah Group has plans in place to completely refurbish its property in Knightsbridge, London, with the extensive project scheduled to commence on September 1, 2019, and conclude in the summer of 2020.
During this period, Jumeirah Carlton Tower will stop receiving guests in order for the work to be conducted.
The refurbishment of the high-end property will include all areas of the 17-floor building. Interiors will be remodelled, and the hotel will boast a refreshed hotel lobby entrance. Adding to this, upon completion of the works, the hotel will house a celebrity destination restaurant on Sloane Street, a rejuvenated rooftop health club overlooking Cadogan Gardens and a new state-of-the-art design spa, with a 20m indoor pool.
Adding to this, all guestrooms and suites will be reimagined, offering visitors a new, charming level of luxury. The hotel’s room count will be reduced from 216 to 188 to make way for new Signature Suites and Junior Suites that will offer guests incredible views of the London skyline and the private Cadogan Place Gardens.
Taking on this momentous project will be the London-based design studio, 1508 London, which will use Jumeirah Carlton Tower’s history and prestige within the local community as inspiration.
CEO, Jumeirah Group, José Silva, remarked on the project: “We are thrilled to announce our plans for the complete refurbishment of Jumeirah Carlton Tower. This project is a significant investment in the heart of Knightsbridge and is undertaken with the greatest attention to detail.”
He continued: “A priority is to ensure that the new Jumeirah Carlton Tower will continue to be a cornerstone for the local community as well as an undisputed leader in the luxury hospitality world. This stunning re-imagining will contribute greatly to the repositioning of Jumeirah globally.”
