Chief operating officer – Middle East and Africa, Kempinski Hotels, Henk Meyknecht remarked: “Our hotels in the Middle East and Africa feature some of the most iconic luxury properties in the Kempinski portfolio, and our upcoming openings, including Emerald Palace Kempinski Palm Jumeirah Dubai Hotel and Kempinski Hotel Muscat, are sure to fulfil this brand promise.”

He continued: “At the same time, we are applying increasingly higher standards across our portfolio and, as a result, Kempinski Hotel Ajman will exit the portfolio as of January next year.”

All Time Aviation

With a long-term, conscientious vision for the Middle East and Africa region, Kempinski Hotels actively seeks out high-end, operating hotels in each key city in the GCC, while simultaneously working to bolster its presence through selective growth in various destinations in Africa.

Opening its doors for business in Q1 of 2018, Kempinski Hotel Muscat in Oman will stand in the Al Mouj community. Guests to the property will be able to enjoy two kilometres of beach; Oman’s only signature PGA standard 18-hole golf course, designed by Greg Norman; as well as the 400-berth Al Mouj Marina – Oman’s largest private yachting hub.

Kempinski Hotel Muscat will house 310 rooms with 40 suites and two presidential suites, each with a private swimming pool, as well as eight F&B outlets. Standing next to the property, the Kempinski Residences will offer 77 serviced apartments for long stays and leasing.

Moving on, Emerald Palace Kempinski Palm Jumeirah Dubai is expected to begin welcoming guests in Q2 of 2018. The property will complement the Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah, which opened in 2011.

As well as 389 rooms and suites, the luxury hotel will comprise six F&B outlets; a 175m2 indoor swimming pool; the largest private cinema on Palm Jumeirah with 80 seats; 500m of private sandy beach; and the 3,000m2 Cinq Mondes spa, which houses 24 spacious treatment rooms and two private spa suites.
