Eager to capitalise on Korea’s reputation as a preferred medial tourism destination, KNTO will be hosting this year’s Korea Medical & Wellness Travel Mart in Dubai from September 22-23 at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City Hotel.

Running across two days, the event will showcase South Korea’s advanced and high-quality medical services, while also shedding light on the country’s appeal as a tourist destination. The Korea Medical & Wellness Travel Mart 2017 will welcome 30 of Korea’s leading medical institutes and cultural organisations, and will unveil the country’s many medical services and treatments that potential tourists from the UAE can avail during their period of travel.

Adding to this, Korean cultural organisations will host workshops to shed light on traditional clothing, the crafting of traditional accessories and delicious Korean food, while visitors will be able to experience Korea’s most popular tourist attractions through Virtual Reality.

Regional director, KNTO – Dubai office, Kyoosang Kang remarked: “We are looking forward to hosting this edition of the Korea Medical & Wellness Travel Mart in Dubai, which will give us the opportunity to tap into a large base of potential tourists in search of an ideal medical tourism destination.

“Our recent studies have shown that UAE nationals have the highest average medical spending per patient among Korea’s international patients, recorded at $10,557. We are hoping that this event will promote South Korea’s medical tourism sector and attract more UAE tourists to visit the country.”

Also forming part of the event, KNTO will also host a medical and beauty event for the UAE’s major women’s committees, through which three of Korea’s most well-known hospitals and beauty clinics will conduct seminars on issues relating to women’s health, beauty trends and current medical treatments.
