Two new Radisson Blu properties, Radisson Blu Resort Half Moon Bay, Al Khobar and Radisson Blu Hotel, Buraidah, will soon be gracing Saudi Arabia, boosting The Rezidor Hotel Group’s portfolio in the country.
The two hotels are scheduled to begin welcoming guests in Q4 of this year.
President and CEO, Rezidor, Wolfgang Neumann commented on the news: “Saudi Arabia is a focus country for us, and we now operate and develop 30 hotels with 6,000 rooms in the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia’s travel and tourism industry is set to rapidly grow, and we want to support this promising sector together with our experienced regional partners.”
Meanwhile, executive vice president and chief development officer, Rezidor, Elie Younes said: “Radisson Blu is Europe’s largest upper-upscale brand, Africa’s fastest growing brand – and also a leading player in the Middle East where our portfolio is young and our brand awareness high. Our aim is to further build on this strong platform and constantly unlock value for our owners and guests.”
Radisson Blu Resort Half Moon Bay, on the west shore of Half Moon Bay, is a conversion of an existing property. Upon its launch the hotel will offer 158 rooms, suites, chalets and villas, while facilities will include two restaurants, a lobby café and a beach café, a pool and a kids’ pool, a male gym, a female spa with an indoor pool, a recreation area and a prayer room. Corporate guess will also benefit from an 80m2 meeting room.
Moving on, Radisson Blu Hotel, Buraidah, situated in the capital of the Al Qassim Province, will offer 108 rooms and 12 villas, an all-day-dining restaurant, six meeting rooms spanning 270m2 and a gym.
