Celebrating success, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre recently scooped the Best Conference Venue award at the very first Asia Pacific MICE Awards 2015 at the MICE Asia Pacific Exhibition 2015 which recently took place in Singapore.
Head, Oliver Kinross Asia Pacific (the organiser of the Asia Pacific MICE Awards), James McKenzie declared that the prestigious accolade recognises the facility’s prime location, with location often being a make-or-break factor.
“The Centre also met all the other criteria such as setting the right tone for a conference to ensure delegates leave with the right impression about the host and, an extra component that is becoming increasingly essential for a good conference venue – technology. With the rise of the mobile workforce and the need to stay connected while on the move, the technology requirements for events and meetings have evolved.”
McKenzie further explained that as the winning conference venue, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre has the size and capabilities to handle what various conferences require in a bespoke manner, while its infrastructure also makes the venue stand out among competition.
Enthusing on the win was general manager, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Alan Pryor: “We are truly ecstatic to have won the award and that the hard work, dedication and persistence of our entire team have been recognised and rewarded.”
