Lake Geneva Region is gearing up for this year’s edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), where it will be promoting its portfolio of tourist attractions, hospitality offerings and holiday experiences.
Throughout the event, the Lake Geneva Region will be shedding light on the unique Swiss tourism experience and will be working to entice new markets, with a strong focus on the Middle East region.
Director – GCC markets, Lausanne Tourism, Walter Loser declared: “We look forward to finalising more agreements with top travel operators from the Gulf countries and we are hopeful for an increase in the number of GCC guests this year to visit Lausanne during the coming summer season.”
During the pre-ATM workshop, market manager, Lausanne Tourism, Julia Garrigues will be meeting with representatives from Dnata and Kanoo Travel to discuss future collaborations to promote Lausanne as one of their tourist destinations. Lausanne tourism will also partake in a number of promotional activities aligned with its strategic objectives.
Walter concluded: “I am delighted to announce that we have reached under the top 10 during 2018 regarding overnight stays from the GCC market. We are hopeful that our participation in this year’s ATM will continue to greatly contribute in achieving our objectives for the coming years which has been in line with our vision to make Lausanne once of the leading top tourist destinations in the world.”
