Switzerland’s Lausanne is reaching out to GCC travellers to promote its impressive collection of retail outlets and F&B options.
The city’s tourism authority, Lausanne Tourism, is working to attract shoppers to the city by shedding light on its portfolio of some of the most sought-after labels available, including Hermès, Patek Philippe, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Hublot and Louis Vuitton, as well as lifestyle, apparel and home souvenir shops.
The tourism body has joined forces with hundreds of brands to present tourists with seamless access to a variety of fashion labels and local designers, with shops offering tempting discounts all year round.
Director of GCC markets, Lausanne Tourism, Walter Loser said: “Lausanne’s retail and leisure sector continues to grow thanks to our strategic partners’ ongoing efforts to diversify the city’s shopping scene and offerings. We are excited to be one of the leading retail destinations and cater to the lifestyles of the diverse consumer mix offering the best of F&B, entertainment and attractions.”
One of the main reasons travellers visit Lausanne is for its unique medieval architecture in the old town and the Place Saint-François – an ideal location for a relaxing drink, traditional pastries and cakes in one of the many tea rooms.
