Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London will be revealing the first phase of an extensive renovation project with the re-opening of the Knightsbridge-facing guest rooms and suites on August 1, 2017.
Hot on the heels of the renovation of its stunning lobby entrance and reception area, the guestrooms and suites will boast ultimate luxury and comfort, inspired by elements of the building’s Edwardian heritage and the natural beauty of Hyde Park.
In charge of the monumental project is renowned interior designer, Joyce Wang, who draws inspiration from the glamour of the early 20th century’s Golden Age of travel.
The new guestrooms feature alcoves, warm grey paneled walls and hand-gilded mirror artwork, with Art Deco-inspired features and wildlife adornments found all throughout the space. Each of the rooms offers views of the iconic Knightsbridge.
The suites comprise a spacious and comfortable bedroom, separate walk-in closet and a living area furnished with a velvet-upholstered sofa, wing-back reading chairs and a leather-topped writing desk.
The exquisite marble bathrooms feature separate walk-in showers with stand-alone baths and twin vanity units. The suites will also offer stunning views of Knightsbridge.
