Marriott International has joined forces with Assila Investments to introduce its Luxury Collection brand to Saudi Arabia – more specifically, to Jeddah.
Assila Hotel, which stands in the heart of the city, will join The Luxury Collection’s portfolio of more than 100 world-respected hotels and resorts in 2020.
CEO, Assila Investments, Bader Alissa remarked: “We are thrilled to have Marriott International manage the beautiful Assila Hotel, under the Luxury Collection brand. This only affirms Assila Hotel’s position as a premier luxury hotel in Jeddah.”
Meanwhile, president and managing director – Middle East and Africa, Marriott International, Alex Kyriakidis commented: “We are delighted to announce plans for the first Luxury Collection property in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with Assila Investments. This deal signing supports our plans to further diversify our footprint in the Kingdom, while enhancing our overall luxury portfolio in the region.”
Assila Hotel boasts 210 guestrooms, including a luxurious 590m2 Royal Suite, as well as 94 apartments. Guests can enjoy a number of F&B outlets, such as a Café Lounge and Argentinian and Mediterranean specialty restaurants. The property is also fully equipped for special events, with its 348m2 ballroom, while corporate visitors can make the most of nine meeting rooms.
Other facilities include a spa, a fitness centre and squash courts.
