Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae will be opening its doors to the public this August, following a partnership between Accor Ambassador Korea and Seohan Tourism Development Co.
The locally inspired property will offer its visitors a stimulating sense of place in Hongdae – a vibrant district that is known to attract Seoul’s younger crowd.
CEO, Accor – Upper Southeast & Northeast Asia and the Maldives, Patrick Basset declared: “Mercure is a trusted brand that allows travellers to really immerse themselves in the destination. Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae is located in close proximity to the four universities, where the district is renowned for its bustling nightlife and underground culture.”
As well as 270 stylish guestrooms, the hotel comprises an all-day-dining restaurant, a lobby bar, a fitness centre and a laundromat. Offering convenient access to Hongdae Subway Station with three subway line connections, guests will be able to explore the neighbouring unique cafes, cosy galleries, fashion shops, art markets, clubs, bars and gourmet eateries.
President, Seohan Tourism Development Co., Steve Choi remarked: “This is the first hotel to open in the north western part of Seoul. Hongdae is renowned for its vibrant urban arts and amazing music scene. The hotel is located in close proximity to both Incheon and Gimpo International Airport, offering visitors an opportunity to explore some of the great attractions nearby.”
A modern property, Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae will be fully equipped with Internet of Things (IoT), allowing guests to control their rooms with their own smart devices, while Chromecast and Bluetooth speakers will refine the digital experience.
For corporate visitors, a business corner and meeting facilities are available for meetings and events, while the outdoor courtyard garden is ideal for private parties and cocktails.
Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae represents the third Mercure-branded hotel to arrive in South Korea.
