Milas-Bodrum Airport in Turkey, operated by TAV Airports, recently welcomed a Sunexpress flight from Hannover, Germany, which represented the first international service since travel restrictions were put in place in March.
Operation coordinator, TAV Milas-Bodrum, Iclal Kayaoglu enthused on the milestone: “We’re happy to welcome passengers and scheduled flights once again at our airport. Domestic flights have been going on since the beginning of the month (June) successfully, thanks to the comprehensive precautions we took in collaboration with our stakeholders.
“We hope that the international flights continue to increase and look forward to welcoming more guests from all over the world,” Kayaoglu added.
In addition to Sunexpress, Corendon and Edelweiss airlines are expected to introduce direct flights to Bodrum from several European destinations in the coming days.
