Millennium Taiba Hotel and Millennium Al Aqeeq Hotel, two five-star properties found in the centre of Madinah, are anticipating a heightened frequency of visitors due to the recently launched tourist visa programme in Saudi Arabia.

Within just 10 days of the visa programme’s introduction, the Kingdom received 24,000 visitors. The visa programme is initially available to US, British and EU Schengen zone tourists from 49 countries, who can acquire their visa on arrival following an online application process.

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage is anticipating 100 million visitors annually by 2030, which will have a positive impact on the country’s total GDP, increasing tourism’s contribution from three per cent to 10 per cent.

Looking forward to this significant rise in visitors, cluster director of sales and marketing, Millennium Taiba Hotel and Milennium Al Aqeeq Hotel, Ibrahim Sindi said: “We are extremely optimistic about the new tourist visa programme. Our expectations go beyond driving more visitors and strengthen the occupancy rates, and the new programme will help sustain the occupancy rates over various seasons of the year.

“This will give Muslim tourists an unprecedented chance to discover the extraordinary beauty of Saudi Arabia and try our hotel luxurious services while visiting Madinah,” he concluded.
