Minor Hotels has established a 50/50 joint venture partnership with Thai-based B&G Park Co., for the operation of a resort in the beachside town of Hua Hin, Thailand.
Currently operating as Ananda Hua Hin Resort & Spa, the property will be rebranded as AVANI Hua Hin Resort & Villas on November 20, 2017, and represents an investment of $22.5 million by Minor Hotels.
CEO, Minor Hotels, Dillip Rajakarier spoke of the new project: “AVANI is already well established in Thailand and we are excited to add this beachside resort to the brand’s growing portfolio. We look forward to working with B&G Park Co. going forward to ensure this resort is a great success.”
The beachfront resort houses 196 guest rooms – consisting of standard rooms, pool villas and suites – as well as two restaurants, a Jazz club, AVANISPA, AVANIFIT gym, AVANI Kids’ Club, a swimming pool and a 900m2 ballroom.
Accommodating up to 500 guests, the spacious ballroom is the ideal setting for business and social events, and can be reconfigured to offer up to five smaller meeting rooms and event venues.
Standing within easy access from Bangkok, the resort is a two-hour drive from the buzzing capital and a 10-minute drive from Hua Hin Airport.
