Significantly growing in popularity among global travellers, Moscow registered a record 23.5 million visitors last year, while the total volume of tourist consumption and turnover of festivals in the city reached an impressive $13 billion.
Since 2010, which registered a total of 12.8 million visitors, the frequency of tourists to the city has increased by 84 per cent. In 2018, the city played host to the FIFA World Cup, which alone attracted 4.5 million tourists and was recognised as the best ever by the FIFA Council.
Eager to capture the hearts and minds of the GCC market, the Moscow City Tourism Committee will be attending the upcoming Arabian Travel Market in full force. During the exhibition, the organisation will shed light on Moscow’s array of festivals, sports and cultural life, gastronomy, new public spaces and unique atmosphere.
The Committee will additionally be promoting its established, dynamic hotel industry. This year, it is scheduled to put 17 new hotels into service – four times more than in 2018.
During the Arabian Travel Market 2019, Moscow City Tourism Committee can be found at stand EU5830.
