Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has sent 38 leaders from 11 of its North African and Middle Eastern properties to Morocco, to attend the brand’s famed Business Academy, from April 10 to 14, 2017.
This year, the event takes place at Mövenpick Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech Hotel & Palais des Congrès, gathering participants from Mövenpick’s hotels in Marrakech, Casablanca, Tangier, El Gouna, Gammarth, El Quseir, Sousse, Sharm El Sheikh, Accra, Cairo, Taba and El Sokhna.
The event is a three-day intensive training programme that teaches top executives invaluable business leadership strategies, highlighting the company’s ongoing efforts to maintain development throughout its workforce.
President and CEO, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Oliver Chavy spoke at the opening of the event: “Our business is about people — the successful interaction between our employees and our guests — as we strive to create memorable moments that last a lifetime. To make this magic happen, it is essential that we inspire and engage our colleagues at every level, using innovative and thought-provoking training techniques that empower them to deliver excellence across every guest’s touch point.”
The event consists of a lineup of three workshops, analysing topics pivotal to Mövenpick’s success, including ‘Process-driven Strategy & Innovation’, ‘Business Financial Acumen’ and ‘Mastering the Leadership Code’. Leaders in attendance are encouraged to discuss their views in order to gain a thorough perspective.
The Business Academy sessions are run several times annually across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, where the company now operates 83 properties. 2017 will see three additional Business Academy events in Dubai, Amsterdam and Bangkok.
