Dubai-based Nakheel’s latest project with Spain’s RIU Hotels & Resorts – an 800-key beachfront resort and waterpark – is taking shape at Deira Islands.
The construction of the property’s accommodation floors is coming to a close, while roofing work is under way. The nine-story building’s façade and installation work will begin early next year.
The resort will represent the first international hospitality joint venture for Nakheel, and the first all-inclusive four-star family beach resort in Dubai.
Located on a prime seafront plot at Nakheel’s new Deira Islands coastal city, the resort features seven food and beverage outlets, three pools, a fitness complex, children’s club and water park. It is also within close proximity to two major new Nakheel projects – The Night Market and Deira Mall.
Deira Islands will add 40km of coastline to Dubai. The development is expected to have a population of 250,000 and create approximately 80,000 jobs.
