Barceló Hotel Group recently celebrated the official launch of the brand-new, four-star Occidental IMPZ Dubai Conference & Events Centre.
In light of the property’s opening, a special rooftop event took place at its Stage Sky Bar & Lounge, which was attended by VIPs. The event entailed live music, delicious canapés and freshly concocted beverages.
Commenting on the inauguration was chief development officer, Barceló Hotel Group, Jaime Buxó: “We are thrilled to offer Dubai residents and global travellers an all new contemporary hospitality experience. This new hotel will serve as a central meeting and conference location, ahead of the upcoming EXPO 2020, featuring added value initiatives and options for visitors, alongside unique dining outlets, ideal for both business and leisure focused travellers.”
Located in Dubai’s International Media Production Zone (IMPZ), Occidental IMPZ Dubai Conference & Events Centre is home to 239 keys spanning two towers, as well as two signature restaurants, four varied meeting rooms and a ballroom equipped to host 350 guests.
Vice president sales and marketing, Barceló Gulf (partner of Barceló Hotel Group in the GCC), Ahmad Shaban gave a speech during the celebratory event. He said: “We welcome you all to the official inauguration of our newest property. Today marks a key milestone for Barceló Hotel Group with the official opening of our first Occidental brand in the UAE and the region. We promise a steadfast pipeline and look forward to a successful year ahead.”
Occidental IMPZ Dubai Conference & Events Centre represents Barceló Hotel Group’s third venture in line to be presented to the GCC market. More properties are due to open this year.
