Abu Dhabi has remained the top destination in the UAE for guest satisfaction, as reported by travel and hotel data specialist organisation, Olery.
The emirate’s overall Guest Experience Index registered an 82.8 score, an increase from the 82.2 score in the 2016 report.
The ‘Guest Experience in the Middle East’ report conducted by Olery is a comprehensive analysis of visitor experiences in the region. The report uses data gathered from over 2.5 million online hotel reviews and guest opinions to analyse guest satisfaction from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017, then combines all data shared in online reviews for a hotel or other type of accommodation.
More than 160,000 reviews were posted for the emirate, with demographics indicating high satisfaction scores. The report further noted that various travellers were very satisfied with their stay in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi scored 85.7 in the value-for-money category, as well as 88.6 for its excellent location.
Quality of customer service and room condition excellence were also highlighted in reviews, with the emirate having scored 91 out of 100 in the cleanliness category. Quality of rooms and quality of service scored 89.4 and 89.3 respectively.
The emirate welcomed more than 4.4. million guests in 2016, setting a new annual record with an eight per cent rise over 2015. The number of guest nights totalled an outstanding 12,031,628 last year.
