Oman Air and BankDhofar announce e-commerce Payment Gateway platform

Oman Air and BankDhofar have joined forces to launch an e-commerce Payment Gateway platform, which will enable the airline’s customers to process their bookings online using their debit cards and receive instant responses of the payment transactions.

Chief financial officer, Oman Air, Suleiman Al Ghannami commented on the development: “Oman Air is delighted to partner with BankDhofar and its E-commerce Payment Gateway platform to offer customers a convenient way to purchase their flight tickets online and on our mobile app. This partnership proves our commitment towards improving our customer experience with the introduction of convenient payment options. The introduction of this new service forms part of BankDhofar’s digital transformation roadmap to offer service excellence to its customers and contribute to the digital economy by improving the electronic payment ecosystem. BankDhofar’s e-commerce Payment Gateway platform guarantees a highly secure, safe and intelligent e-commerce transaction environment.

Senior vice president information technology, Oman Air, Ghaith Al Darmaki explained: “Digital Platforms form a critical portion of our everyday life. Expanding payment options for customers based on their locations and convenience is a key to provide seamless experience.
