Oman Ministry of Tourism launches Traveller’s Oasis website for tourists

In light of the approaching Khareef season and the anticipated high frequencies of visitors to the region, advisor of tourism affairs, Oman Ministry of Tourism, Sayyid Adil Al Mardas Al Busaidi recently inaugurated a brand new website, entitled Traveller’s Oasis, dedicated to providing tourists to Dhofar with information and services.
The newly launched website acts as an ideal travel guide for visitors with a list of Dhofar’s attractions, services, activities and places to discover on offer. Car rental services are also offered as well as a list of hotels and hotel apartments.

For those wishing to make use of the new website on their mobile devices, it will soon be available as a free application and will be launched on Android and iOS operating systems.


Al Busaidi commented: “The Traveller’s Oasis, an integrated rest area with a full range of tourist services, features a luxurious administrative tent that will provide information, hotel outlet and booking details and will remain open 24/7.”

With the tourists’ needs in mind, Oman Ministry of Tourism has also introduced an around-the-clock call centre which is based in the Traveller’s Oasis centre. After a long journey, tourists can opt to dine at restaurants and purchase handicrafts at the Oasis, which is located at the Salalah City gate.

The modern information centre also features praying halls for males and females, toilets and an area for children’s games as well as a parking area that can accommodate 150 vehicles. All facilities are provided free of charge.
