The Ministry of Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman has been honoured with the Arab Social Networking Pioneers Award in the Public Sector category by the prestigious Arab Social Leaders Summit.
The Arab Social Leaders Summit is first and largest event in the region in terms of participation of the Arab social media influencers, as well as the participation of entities with experience and influence as owners and executives of the world’s leading social networking companies.
The award ceremony was inaugurated by Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Now in its third edition, the summit was held at the Dubai World Trade Center, bringing together experts, specialists and influential people of social media from across the Arab world.
The Ministry was recognised with the award for its excellence and influence in the social media, representing a leading Arab government institution which invested in social networking to improve the level of services and achieve customer satisfaction.
Speaking at the event was president, Dubai Press Club, Muna Ghanem Al Marri: “We are proud to be the first global summit of its kind which discusses the impact of social media and how this can be used in positive manner in the interest of the society.”
