Jordan will soon be embracing its second Hyatt hotel, with the 286-key Hyatt Regency Aqaba opening its doors for business this summer, joining Grand Hyatt Amman.
The five-star hotel is located in the city’s Ayla development – a waterfront complex, which will house dining and entertainment facilities, including a golf course, retail outlets and the Ayla marina.
General manager, Hyatt Regency Aqaba, Mohammad Labban commented on the upcoming hotel: “The key location of the property within the Ayla Oasis is set to open many doors for us in the market, given Aqaba’s ever-expanding tourism sector from the regional and international markets.
“At Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla, we will set the stage for dynamic interactions where our guests can come together to socialise, collaborate or celebrate. Given that the property is both new to the populous city itself, as well as is the first to open its doors within the Ayla development, we look forward to the visiting and resident communities engaging with the brand and its varied culinary offerings, as well as utilising our exemplary conference and design led event facilities. We look forward to a prosperous launch and continued growth and development in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” he added.
Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla will comprise 286 rooms, including 32 regency suites, four executive suites, five family suites, one prince suite and a royal suite. As for facilities, the property will offer various F&B outlets; three pools, including an adult only infinity pool, a family pool and a kids’ pool; fitness and spa facilities; Camp Hyatt Kids Club; 970m2 of meeting space, including two pre-function areas, four meeting rooms, one boardroom and a 570m2 pillar-less ballroom; and pre-function areas with an open style beverage bar counter.
