On a mission to capture Middle East markets, Outrigger Enterprises Group, a privately held leisure lodging, retail and hospitality company operating in the Asia Pacific, Oceania and Indian Ocean regions, has announced the opening of a sales and marketing representation office in Dubai.
Dubai-based Gulf Reps will support the development of a Middle East strategy in order to drive sales for Outrigger Resorts’ nine beachfront properties spanning the Indian Ocean, Asia and the Pacific.
Vice president, sales and marketing – Asia Pacific and Indian Ocean, Outrigger Resorts, Mark Simmons noted that strong economic growth rates, an affluent indigenous population and a large expatriate community were key factors that brought forth the move into the region.
“Gulf Reps have been high level regional hospitality representation experts since 2006 in the Middle East’s key source markets. They will offer key strategic and tactical input to help us build business and promote the Outrigger brand in a very dynamic region,” Simmons said.
He added that the Middle East was a key market for Outrigger Resorts, which opened the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort in 2014 and the Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort in 2015. Both destinations benefit from direct access from major Gulf air carriers, as well as Phuket, Thailand, where Outrigger currently has two operating properties.
