Pegasus Airlines is launching services between Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen and Manchester Airport on July 1, 2019.
The new, five-times-weekly route, which complements the low-cost carrier’s route to London Stansted, will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The carrier’s scheduled flights will connect Manchester Airport to 32 destinations spanning Turkey and 39 international destinations including Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Beirut, Bishkek, Doha, Dubai, Hurghada, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Sharm El Sheikh and Tbilisi.
Thrilled with the launch, chief commercial officer, Pegasus Airlines, Güliz Öztürk declared: “We are delighted to be launching our Manchester route. The UK is among our key markets in Europe; we already operate thrice daily flights from London Stansted to Istanbul, with additional direct flights to Izmir Airport up to four times a week in summer.”
Following the launch of scheduled flights from London Stansted, Pegasus Airlines has flown over 2.7 million guests to and from the UK.
“We’re confident that the new Manchester flights will be warmly welcomed by our future guests in Northern England,” Öztürk added. “We hope to attract more guests who will enjoy travelling to Istanbul and the exciting destinations beyond, both within Turkey and elsewhere in our network always at our affordable fares.”
