Qatar Airways’ ground-breaking business class concept, Qsuite, made its official debut at Washington, D.C.’s Washington Dulles International Airport on January 6, 2018.
The US capital is the second destination in the country to offer the award-winning product, following its introduction on flights to London Heathrow Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport.
Qsuite features the aviation industry’s first double bed in business class, along with privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room.
The carrier gave the world an exclusive first look at the innovative concept at ITB Berlin in March 2017 and has since collected numerous laurels for its unprecedented product.
Chief executive, Qatar Airways Group, HE Akbar Al Baker remarked on the momentous occasion: “Following the US debut and warm welcome of the Qsuite in New York City, we are thrilled to kick off the new year by extending the outstanding offerings of Qsuite to our dedicated business and leisure travellers in the Washington, D.C. area.
“The introduction of Qsuite to Washington, a city we have served for the past 10 years, demonstrates our continued commitment to providing the utmost quality and service to our valued customers. Since our launch a decade ago, Washington Dulles has seen some of the highest demand for our business class service across any of our other US gateways, so bringing Qsuite to Washington was a natural choice. We look forward to continuing to revolutionise the way people travel to and from the US capital,” he added.
