Qatar Airways has announced upgrades to its preferred European destinations for the winter season, with added capacity on several routes.
This month, business and leisure passengers can enjoy a greater choice of travel options at three European routes – Helsinki, Finland; Stockholm, Sweden; and Manchester, the UK.
Each of the routes will receive aircraft upgrades, whereby Manchester and Stockholm routes will be upgraded from an Airbus A350 to a more spacious Boeing 777, and the Helsinki route will also be upgraded from an Airbus A320 to a larger Airbus A330.
In addition, the frequency of flights to the airline’s second gateway to London, Gatwick, has also been increased from 14 to 16 weekly flights, with immediate effect. The popular route, which is served by the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, was re-introduced in May and is Qatar Airways’ sixth UK gateway.
“We invite all passengers to enjoy the additional capacity and flexibility provided by these aircraft upgrades and increased frequencies,” said chief executive, Qatar Airways Group, HE Akbar Al Baker. “We are dedicated to giving our customers more choice and flexibility when planning their business and leisure trips to and from Europe, enabling them to connect seamlessly at Hamad International Airport to more than 160 global destinations. We now provide direct services to more than 50 European cities, and our European route network is expanding rapidly.”
