Qatar Airways will be enhancing its destination portfolio with direct flights to Penang, Malaysia, on February 6, 2018.
The airline began services to Malaysia in December 2001 and currently offers triple-daily flights to Kuala Lumpur.
Penang is renowned for its sandy beaches and awe-inspiring natural scenery, and is also recognised as the gourmet capital of Malaysia.
Enthusing on the soon-to-launch flights was chief executive, Qatar Airways Group, HE Akbar Al Baker: “Malaysia has long been one of our most sought-after destinations, and as such, we are delighted to launch a new direct service to Penang, offering our passengers a second gateway into the country. With three weekly flights between Doha and Penang, we are sure travellers to this exotic holiday destination will be enchanted by both Penang’s magnificent natural scenery and our unrivalled five-star onboard service.”
Qatar’s national carrier will fly to Penang three-times-weekly, and flights will be serviced by its state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which features 22 seats in business class and 232 seats in economy class.
