Marking the 100th destination to be reincorporated into its network, Qatar Airways has announced the resumption of flights to Sofia via Bucharest.
The three-times-weekly route, which kicks off today (October 16, 2020), will increase the airline’s flight frequency to over 700 per week, spanning six continents.
The Qatari carrier has been keeping busy with developments having increased flights to Copenhagen and Madrid to 10 per week; Manchester to 17; and Stockholm to 10. On October 25, the airline will be increasing its Singapore route to double-daily flights.
Enthusing on the developments was chief executive, Qatar Airways, HE Akbar Al Baker: “As one of the few airlines to have continuously flown throughout the pandemic to take passengers home safely and reliably, we are proud reach this significant milestone in the rebuild of our network. Our focus is not only on restarting destinations but also operating as many frequencies as possible to provide our passengers the flexibility to travel when they want.”
Al Baker concluded: “With more than 700 weekly frequencies currently, and plans to increase our network to more than 125 destinations by the end of 2020, our passengers will enjoy more options to travel when they want across the globe, safely and reliably.”
