Due to noticeable demand, Qatar Airways will be boosting services on its Doha-Bucharest, Romania route this summer, from daily to double-daily.
The route, which originally commenced on January 17, 2011, recently celebrated its fifth birthday. The daily scheduled service is set to increase this summer to a 10 weekly offering from June 2 and to 14 flights a week from August 1.
The new flights are expected to improve connectivity within the Qatar Airways network with the Middle East, India, Asia and Australia, including Qatar Airways’ newest network additions this year of Adelaide and Sydney.
Chief executive, Qatar Airways Group, HE Akbar Al Baker stated: “As a global airline, we are committed to connecting Romania to our worldwide network of more than 150 destinations through our award-winning hub and home, Hamad International Airport. As such, we are delighted to be celebrating the fifth anniversary since Qatar Airways commenced its direct flights to Bucharest, by increasing our capacity and frequency on this route from a daily to double-daily service, connecting business and leisure passengers to Doha and onwards, through seamless transfers within one of the world’s newest airport.”
The Bucharest to Doha route is served by an Airbus A320 aircraft, offering individual seat-back television screens.
