Qatar Duty Free (QDF) recently scooped DFNI-Frontier’s ‘EMEA Airport Retail Operation of the Year’ accolade for its unrivalled retail offering and exceptional customer service.
The travel retailer was also recognised for its dedication to its staff through the QDF Learning Academy, which offers all employees training through its career development programme.
The award was handed over to QDF at a ceremony and charity ball on April 5, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. It was accepted by vice president operations, QDF, Thabet Musleh.
Senior vice president, QDF, Bruce Bowman remarked on the win: “At QDF, we strive to provide new, exciting and memorable experiences for our customers, and we are delighted that this has been acknowledged by the duty free industry. QDF works closely with Qatar Airways, Hamad International Airport and leading global brands to deliver innovative retail concepts, such as the Qatar Airways Travel Boutique and the world-exclusive Dior La Parfums Podium. QDF recently opened two souqs in celebration of Qatar National Day, selling traditional Arabian products made in Qatar, while Al Jazeera Perfumes, the Qatari fragrance brand, opened its first airport boutique at HIA recently.
QDF is home to over 90 shops and over 30 restaurants and cafés. High end brands featured at QDF include Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Bulgari, Hermès, Hugo Boss, Moncler, Rolex and Harrods.
