Radisson Hotel Group’s upper-upscale Radisson Blu brand has officially inaugurated the Radisson Blu Resort Maldives – a stunning private island retreat in the Alifu Dhaalu Atoll.
The new resort, which represents Radisson Hotel Group’s first property in the Maldives, is nestled on Huruelhi Island and one other pristine islet, only 105km from Malé’s Velana International Airport. In order to get to the resort, visitors can either take a scenic 30-minute seaplane direct to the resort or a 20-minute domestic flight from Malé to Maamigili Airport, followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride.
The sparkling new Radisson Blu Resort Maldives boasts 128 beachfront or overwater villas ranging from 215-790m2 and featuring private pools, ocean views, state-of-the-art amenities and one-, two- or three-bedrooms. For those yearning for ultimate luxury, the resort’s Presidential Suite awaits them, which spans two floors and overlooks the shimmering sea.
Numerous adventures await guests at the resort’s diving and water sports centre. Visitors can also opt to soothe their senses at the overwater spa and yoga pavilion or work out at the fitness centre and sports court. For children, the resort is well-equipped with a kids’ club and games room.
As well as an incredibly diverse selection of restaurants, the property is home to a glass-walled Event Hall perfect for special moments, including oceanfront weddings that can host up to 50 guests.
Vice president, operations – South East Asia and Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group, Andre de Jong enthused on the opening: “We are thrilled to open our first resort in the Maldives, one of the world’s most idyllic and iconic tourist destinations.
