Radisson Hotel Group has signed for Radisson Resort Sangatte Blériot-Plage in France, marking the Radisson brand’s debut in the country.
Gracing the Opal coast in the Pas-de-Calais area, Sangatte Blériot-Plage is a small and charming seaside destination that’s increasingly popular with travellers, both for its golden beach facing out onto the Channel and its easy access to the Eurotunnel, linking it to Western Europe’s major capital cities.
With its proximity to the Eurotunnel and connections to the Eurostar, Radisson Resort Sangatte Blériot-Plage will be simple to reach by car, train or ferry. Guests will also enjoy easy access to Calais, Lille and Paris – and can even travel to or from London or Brussels in approximately an hour.
Scheduled to open its doors in 2021, the seafront hotel will house 115 rooms, including six suites, along with a restaurant and bar, a spa, a fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool and two meeting rooms.
Executive vice president and chief development officer, Radisson Hotel Group, Elie Younes spoke on the project: “We’re delighted to be bringing the first Radisson branded property to France. Calais and the surrounding areas are undergoing a major transformation to attract more tourists and – with few international operators already in Sangatte – we are looking to be first movers in what will be a strong growth market.”
Found within close proximity to the Radisson Resort Sangatte Blériot-Plage are a wide range of beach activities, shops and even a golf course.
