Radisson Hotel Group has confirmed plans for the Radisson Hotel Saint Denis in Reunion Island, which marks the group’s entry into its third Indian Ocean island.
The administrative capital of the French overseas region, Saint Denis is situated on the north end of Reunion Island. The property stands on the major axe, within arm’s reach of the main commercial and financial district, and is in front of the promenade, between the old town and the main highway, allowing easy access across the city. Saint Denis Roland Garros International Airport, Reunion Island’s main airport, is also less than 20 minutes away.
Executive vice president and chief development officer, Radisson Hotel Group, Elie Younes commented on the news: “Radisson provides a unique value proposition to both guest and owners in the full-service segment based on a compelling guest experience within an efficient real estate framework. We now enter our third Indian Ocean Island with the first upscale internationally branded hotel. We look forward to a mutually rewarding journey with our partners and thank them for their trust.”
Radisson Hotel Saint Denis comprises 124 rooms and suites, five F&B outlets, 416m² of meeting and events space, inclusive of a large conference room and six meeting rooms, and a fully equipped gym.
According to the owners of the hotel, Semir Soundardjee and Altaf Soundardjee of Aniva SA, the property is scheduled to undergo a complete transformation, with plans to reopen its doors this year with an elevated offering, including an expansive meeting space and a trendy rooftop bar.
