RAK Properties and Al Nuaimi Group work together for RAK’s first Anantara property

RAK Properties recently inked an $8.2 million enabling works contract with Al Nuaimi Group for the upcoming Anantara Resort & Spa, the first property of this kind in the emirate.

The contract between the two entities entails piling and earthworks for the 306-key Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa, operated by Minor Hotels. The property is scheduled to open its doors in late 2018 and will be located at the Mina Al Arab development.

Guests to the hotel will enjoy Maldives-inspired overwater villas, four restaurants, a spa, swimming pools, a tennis court, a ballroom, meeting and events space, and various other facilities.

Managing director and CEO, RAK Properties, Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi noted: “Once construction is complete, Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa will form a key part of the international hospitality offering of our largest development in the emirate, providing visitors and residents with an iconic venue to relax and be entertained.”

RAK Properties’ Mina Al Arab development is a waterfront community in Ras Al Khaimah which significantly contributes to the emirate’s economic growth. Earlier on in 2016 the developer announced the next phase of Mina Al Arab with an investment of $1.4 billion.

Measuring approximately 811,420m2, upon completion the development will feature an international five-star hotel, an international four-star lifestyle resort, serviced apartments, a shopping mall, beach and waterfront apartments, villas and townhouses with a private beach clubhouse, and a selection of beachfront al fresco dining and entertainment venues.
